...Recently two British investigative reporters ...spent three years as Amber Room detectives, following up leads in Russia, Poland, Germany, and elsewhere. In their book on Amber Room they concluded that it no longer existed: it had probably been accidentally destroyed by fire in 1945 at the Konigsberg Castle. It must have made an astonishingly scented blaze .

Янтарь и амбра по-английски, если не ошибаюсь, называются одним словом. Почему они про запахи и говорят, ошибочно принимая их одно за другое.
